Hello everybody it’s Juliana and you’ve might of read my other blogs and this is my blog post about Snow Leopards (and there such cute wild animals besides cats in my opinion). The Snow Leopard lives in rugged mountain ranges found in central and south Asia and the mountains approximately is 1,230,000 square kilometers which extends through 12 countries! and they are India, Afgahnistan, Buthan, China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajistan,and Uzbekistan. Snow leopards are solitary animals and they are carnivores. However there size is smaller than other ‘big cats’ there description: They weigh between 27- 54 kg there body lengths reach between 74- 130cm. Snow leopards have such big furs there fur color is grayish and yellowish and tan fur ears are round but not really round but on the tips of the ears there round.They have black spots but have larger spots on there cute fat fluffy tails .

Snow leopards like I said earlier are carnivores but Snow leopards they eat whatever meat they find! so they eat anything as long as it’s meat! they even eat domesticated farm stock! They are endangered animals.

In my old school (since I didn’t spent much time in ISB) this semester and what I learned about in science from my ‘Old School’ (also known as Orchard Elementary School from Sylvan Union District web site is http://www.sylvan.k12.ca.us/orchard/). I learned about planets. And here is some part of what I learned about planets.
First we learned about the sun and that the Sun was mostly made of hydrogen we learned that the surface core temperature is 5,000 degrees Celsius. The inner core temperature is 15,000,000 degrees Celsius and that the sun gives life to almost every animal in the world. The age of the Sun is 4.6 billion years old!
Next we learned that the Sun is a star and that the sun is the biggest mass of body in the solar system. And that in which the Sun is a star well something happens inside these stars around the solar system. And that is called Nuclear Fusion. In nuclear fusion the nuclei of the atoms fuse together forming a larger nucleus and in that process lot’s of energy is produced and given off.
Next we learned about the cycle of stars. My class and me learned that the very start of a star is a Nebula then it turns into a protostar (and well whoever out there is reading my blog post these steps take a hecka’ long time to reach these steps). Then after that the protostar becomes a main sequence star. Then after that it turns into a red giant! So after a long time this is what happens it becomes another nebula but not just any nebula but a Planetary Nebula. And well it turns into a white dwarf (which are the little stars you see in the sky). And well then after a long time it just looses all it energy to perform Nuclear Fusion for itself well the heat and light dies off and it becomes a Black dwarf. And at the end it’s a tragic ending when a star goes ‘Boom’ and I don’t really think it’s necessary to tell what happens to the end because it I just a tragic ending for a star to go ‘boom’.
And now just right before I went to the ISB I learned about the about that Au means gold and so on and now for the conclusion. I have learned all these stuff in my old school Orchard Elementary in 5th grade by my teacher Mrs.Stone and please feel free and do not hesitate to type your opinions on my blog post and I hope you liked reading my science blog post. -. -

Salutations! It’s Juliana and this blog post is about: Why everybody should get of at least have a PS3.

These are some Information on the PS3. And by the way the info I didn’t get this information all by myself. I went on http://www.cnet.com/ps3.html and http://www.sonystyle and well just go and type PS3 and there it will have info and a place where it can sell the PS3 for $399.99 on the Sony web site. And now here’s some info about the PS3

PS3 of coarse stands for Sony Play Station 3 of course. And well the PS3 version has a ‘Blue Ray’ Player and a HDMI video output. The other version (version 2) has a 20 GB hard drive and a built in Wi-Fi a multi format card reader, and well a silver trim except you have to pay $100 moreL. I don’t know where they sell the PS3 but maybe on ‘eBay’ except I heard on ‘eBay’ they have cheaper prices . Also the PS3 has a wireless controller!  Also it can have up to 4 players IF you have a game that can go with four players.

Now here’s why everybody should have a PS3.

1. PS3’s well it can play PS1 and PS2 games! So you can save money and not buy PS1 and PS2.
2. Every game you play will be in high-def Blue ray movies.
3. ONLINE GAMEPLAY IS FOR FREE!
4. No external power supply.
5. Play awesome movies in Blue-Ray high def and in normal movie screen if you want.
6. It has a big hard drive.

The Bad stuff about the PS3:

1. No infrared port means…….. NO BLUETOOTH!!!
2. The online gaming and media isn’t as developed as the Xbox Live.
3. Not many games made for the PS3. Even though there are games from the PS2 and the PS1.
4. And the black PS3 you at the bottom is a major dust collector.

And in my opinion about the PS3 is that… It has hecka~ good graphics! And the movies you play on are in such~ good quality. That’s why I recommended the PS3. -_- hope you liked reading my blog post about: Why everybody should at least have a PS3.That’s one version of the PS3 Source

“By Golly am I ever so~ happy”

I woke up in the morning my eyes felt heavy from the uncomfortable sleepless night. I got off my one sheet bed (that was on the floor) then opened the cob -webbed door then walked outside to the misty air. My mom was on her rocking chair and rocked my little brother Jinks well I call him ‘Jinks’ But his real name is Clementi. My mom looked at me then smiled warmly at me. Then I smiled back then I looked around for dad but I noticed he was gone. So I asked “Mommy where’s daddy?” My mom just said “I’ll tell you until you eat your soup.” This shocked me my mom would never talk like that to me but I did what I was told. Eat soup.

I was eating cabbage soup with some carrots. It always tasted good even though I ate I all the time. When I was done I washed the dish and asked my mom “mommy what’s wrong?” My mom hesitated then said in a worried voice “your brother has- has” Mom was stammering now. Then she finally said, “Your brother has a tumor.”  I was thumb struck. How could this be!? I mean my family has said to me oh were going to the hospital but no! I think there’re lying to me maybe the waiting list is long. Then a big scrawny hand went on my shoulder I knew it was Uncle Willy (for your information ‘reader’ Uncle Willy is not my Uncle everybody just calls him Uncle Willy for somewhat reason). Then Uncle Willy said,” Your daddy went to find a doctor he’ll be coming soon.” He paused then said “ It’s okay if you do something about this.” I looked up Uncle Willy had faith a lot of faith. Then something popped up to my head as if an idea got rocket launched to my head. I knew I had to go to the city to the government and check the list. But I knew I couldn’t go now of coarse because it takes a long~ time to go to the government especially going from country side to city. That’s a long time (might even take a whole night possibly). After I helped Uncle Willy clean and brush Old Marcey Rancher or Uncle Willy’s horse (Old Marcey Rancher is a kind horse and wise horse). But now here’s where the long walk begin.

I walked through the cob – webbed door not leaving a single creak with that old door. I walked outside into the night closing the door behind me. I looked up straight at the beautiful moon. It was an ecstatic view. The moon glowed in my presence like silver. I started walking. But not running who wants to run to the government and look like a panting dog and in 2 seconds you’re kicked out like a dog out of the government doors and that’s final. I walked across the grass I looked at the fireflies fly in joy. Later I saw dirt roads like in the gold rush (my friend told me that). So later…

In the early~ morning I was at the government doors. I walked in. And boy it felt so good in there I walked through the majestic doors then looked for the waiting list. I found only 3 people in line but when I come in it’s going to be’ 4 when I came in. The people in line were old. They looked like they really needed health. But soon they walked out of the door with smiles. I came next the lady at the counter had blond hair she looked at me then frowned then said in a mean voice What’s a little girl doing here? This is where people check the waiting list. Aren’t you supposed to be at home?” This made me shocked a little bit. So I said “I ‘am looking for my brother’s waiting list brother named Clementi“ She smiled at me then looked at the list sadly “ 9th to last.” I looked shocked I snatched the paper then looked it really was 9th to last. I decided to go get a doctor’s appointment. With help from my friend later then in the morning I felt * * * *

Over raged that I could push every down ‘Half Dome’ (Half Dome is a weird looking mountain in Yosemite National park). But besides   my anger the city I was in was big. Really big. It was full of carbon dioxide and lots of cars and taxis. I was looking for my friend I mentioned earlier. He helped me a lot get stuff ready at home so I’m going to ask for some real big help from my friend. But besides that I looked in rags. Everyone else were n such fine clothing. Then a girl went past me and said to her mom “I don’t want this junk mummy! I want a Pony! And a squirrel” She stomped off with her mom calling “ Leona!” I guess she was ‘Leona’ plus ‘Leona’ was showered in jewels. I knew she was spoiled. But I continued walking down the street I felt sour looks on me I saw a little (maybe another spoiled child) glare at me so I glared back baring my teeth like a dog (I don’t know why I did that? Maybe seeing rich kids made my raged?) Someone shook me I turned to punch but my got held I noticed it was my friend. Harold. He looked at me shocked his hand was having a pretty tough grip on me I let out a quit whimper. He looked at me then let the grip off my hand. He said “Sorry about that… I uh~ didn’t know you were going to give me the uppercut you did accidentally near Old Marcey when scared you.” Reader just to tell you I did give him a punch by accident. He scared me when I was cleaning old Marcey good lord he didn’t get injured. He was pretty strong and he still is. So I said “I need to tell you something really-really- really important! Harold!” He looked at me then said cheerfully “Okay come on then” So later……………..

I was in his house in his room. I told him about Jinks/Clementi he looked worried then said “ your brother was fun to play with I guess I’m gonna’ help ya’ get you out of this mess.” I smiled he was a good friend. He got of his chair and started making a charity sign. Then he told me “ You to get some shut eye I saw you dozing off. There’s a room in the attic my mom would let you use like in the time our place got flooded and your mom let us stay for the night.” He laughed then continued. I walked up To Mrs. Peterson. She said that I could stay in the attic. Mrs. Peterson also asked me about my family I told her everything she looked at me warmly and said to me in a kind voice “ Anne I hope you can get your brother better I have faith in you” I smiled then went up to the attic. I haven’t told you that I hate Jenna I’m most of the time called Anne, Jill, or Jennie (well Jennie my mom calls me that and my dad call’s me Spring-Jacked Jenna). Well in the attic had a bed and a lamp (which was of coarse dusty). Then I went to sleep for 6 hours. Then I woke up it felt like a whole day.  I went to check on Harold and knocked on the door there was no answer for at least 10 minutes. Then the door opened the sign was finished. It looked like the signs they put for charities. Harold had mad skills. Then it was around 1:40. Harold and I set off to the busy streets. Then Harold stood there with a fish bowl beside him (the fish bowl was the fish he used to have. But sadly his frog Toady ate His fish and his frog Toady died the very next day.) But suddenly something took me out of the flash back. It was Harold saying to a guy in a big cloak “thank you very much sir!” Then Harold told me “you look tired you should go back home or to my place and take another shut eye.” Harold was a good friend The Petersons were always good friends and very kind with my family. So then it was 1:30 and I arrived at Harold’s place. Because if I came home my mom and dad would never ever let me go outside ever again (I could go outside with my mom only) until I was 20 or 20+. Mrs. Peterson was waiting on the table. I went there and talked. Then like about 2 hours later Harold came rushing in with the goldfish bowl and frog infested bowl. “I got at least 1,200 dollar’s! And 25 cents and 3 quarters and 15 dimes.” I was so~ happy I got the money for little Jinks. Then straight after that Harold and I went to the Hospital (Sutter Mill Hospital) I went to the front desk and asked the admission counter. “Ma’am Could I talk to a surgeon who like gets rid of tumors please~ ma’am” The lady looked at me Meanly then said “floor 12 room 15 now beat it!” I grumbled at least she gave me directions.  So I went in the elevators and pressed room 15 while the others would press room 9 where all the pedestrians and demonologist were because many people in the elevator had bad acne big time. But then I noticed that they all went in a jiffy to go to their doctor’s appointment. Then floor 15 was finally reached. I went of the lousy elevator and looked for room 12. I saw 10 now then 11 then finally 12!  Before I went in Harold took me back and whispered to me “The surgeon is Doctor Conner’s? Huh I wonder if he really has lizard type – reptile blood. What do you think?” I replied in a whisper “I don’t really care. I just want a doc’s appointment. Seriously could you stop being negative at a good time like this? We’ve got a Doctor  to see and you say” I took a short pause then mimicked Harold “oohh I wonder if he has lizard blood.” Harold frowned then said “I said lizard type – reptile blood.” I just shook my head and went inside. ********

Inside was this really skinny guy and he had really white hair on his head and he had age spots that looked like craters on a moon. He had big eye glasses he looked pretty funny I held my breath from giggling Harold face was already turning red he was very still from the unexpected – funny looking surgeon. I looked at Dr. Conner and asked politely “uh~ Dr. Conner sir uh could I get an appointment for my brother? He has a tumor I’ve got uh” I looked at Harold who had the money in his hands he knew how much was in there (I forgot how much was there on the way to Sutter Mill). He looked at me then Harold then said to me looking at Harold “is he your brother” then he continued “because he looks red and unwell.” Harold shook his head viciously then said “oh I’m just a friend of hers” he paused I looked at him and gave him a look. Had he already forgot to tell how much money we had? He looked glum then looked at me and said “what?!” then he remembered “oh uhh we had Doc’ Conner’s 1,200 and 25 cents and 3 quarters and 15 dimes.” Dr. Conner scratched his chin then looked at us now amazed then he looked at me then said “bring your parents and your little brother here.”

Now then after that we found out the tumor was fatal and Clementi survived after that and my mother convinced me to go to school since I was 11 and didn’t go to school because of that I had to help my mom. So I went to school and well things went up and down.

Salutations I’m Juliana and in these few weeks in fifth grade I’ve been learning from myself about HF strategies or as you all know HF is another word for Historical fiction. And I’m going to give some of MY IDEAS to everyone one about HF strategies. But the book my group is reading is called ‘Goldstone’ written by Julie Lawson. So these are the HF ideas I use in reading ‘Goldstone’. And gonna’ share them with ya.
Hope it helps :p

Strategy 1: Try to think about the surrounding scenery. To see if it was set in the old times, very old time, or modern times (which we all are in ‘The Modern Time’)
Strategy 2: Think about characters and how they have fun and how their personality is like.
Strategy 3: Think about the problem or dilemma of the story think about how people would do it in the old times or very old time or in modern time and compare and see which is the wisest.
Strategy 4: Put yourself in the Main characters shoes, point, view and so on. Think what would you do if you were the main characters position.
FINALLY: Analyze things that don’t happen nowadays and compare them together.
